Samenvatting

My name is Niels Medemblik, a 3D Generalist. My interest in 3D and Visual Effects started during a IT study. Instead of programming and computers I kept myself mostly busy with giving things color and I started to learn 3D modelling. To improve my qualities and to meet people with the same interest as me, I started to study BAT 3D Animation and Visual Effects at HKU in Hilversum. Not only did this school focus on the technical aspect of 3D Animation and Visual effects, but also on how to tell a story and how stories translate to a viewer, this is one of the reasons why I like to be close to the process of making a film or animation. I graduated in 2011 with the short film Anomaly.

My main interest has always been Visual Effects, but as a Generalist i like to keep myself busy with everything that has to do with 3D or Visual effects not only for film but also for branches like animation and games. The main tasks that I do during a project can be: modeling, texturing, shading & rendering, compositing and 3d tracking. Im always looking for new chances and opportunities to improve my skills.
